Bob Lamb

Bobby "Bob" Joe Lamb was born in Reyno, Randolph County, Arkansas, on April 6, 1932, and grew up in the communities of Success and Piggott, Arkansas.

Lamb received a B.A. from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1954. He served in the US Navy before returning to Arkansas to coach in Morrilton.

In 1965, he became the executive vice president of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas and later worked as the organization's state chamber executive. During his over twenty years with the chamber, Lamb oversaw a new era of marketing, research, and promotion of the state of Arkansas that resulted in a dramatic increase in both jobs and earnings for communities all over the state.

He has served as the vice president of community development for Southwestern Energy Company and participated on the steering committee for the Greater Northwest Arkansas Development Strategy. Governor Mike Beebe appointed him to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority Board of Directors. As a lobbyist, Lamb has represented groups such as Progress Arkansas and SourceGas.

He passed away on October 25, 2014
