In July 2016, the Butler Center and Clinton School of Public Service hosted an event at the CALS Ron Robinson Library in Little Rock, Arkansas with Senator David Pryor, Ernie Dumas, and Archie Schaffer as panelists. Moderated by John Brummett, the panel recalled the “Happy Hours and High Times” of Arkansas politics in the 1970s. All three panelists were critical fixtures of the Arkansas political scene during that decade, and their memories provide valuable context on a transformative period in the state’s history.
