The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) welcomed legendary radio broadcasters Bob Robbins, Craig O’Neill, "Broadway" Joe Booker, and "Outlaw" Tommy Smith for "An Evening with the Legends of Radio – Live and Unscripted" on Saturday, March 5.

"This is the Mount Rushmore of Arkansas radio," said John Miller, CALS Entertainment Coordinator. "I grew up listening to Tommy Smith on Magic 105, Craig O’Neill on KLAZ, 'Broadway' Joe on Power 92, and Bob Robbins on KSSN. And as I became an adult, I followed them all over the radio dial as they changed stations and started new ventures. So, their story and history are my story and history too; they're Arkansas’s history."

Presented by CALS Arkansas Sounds and Ron Robinson Theater, an Evening with the Legends of Radio was a once-in-a-lifetime event for fans as these radio icons shared the same stage for the first time.

"Each of these disc jockeys have more than 40 years of broadcasting history in our state. I know fans of the Wolf, the Buzz, KKYK, KURB, KARN, KAAY, and KTHV will want to hear their stories about the interviews, travels, and music that have been an essential part of our lives," Miller continued.

Moderator Danny-Joe Crofford led the discussion while the legends shared their stories about some of the greatest moments and memories in Arkansas broadcast history. The Pryor Center was on hand to record this unique, historical event.
