Arkansas Supreme Court Project

The Arkansas Supreme Court Project is the result of a joint initiative between the Pryor Center and the Arkansas Supreme Court Historical Society to collect oral history interviews with current and former justices of the Arkansas Supreme Court. These interviews were conducted by Arkansas journalist Ernie Dumas between 2011 – 2017 and feature a number of jurists who served on the court across the late 20th and early 21st centuries. They provide an inside look at the debates and challenges that faced the court in these years and highlight the importance of the judicial branch of government in shaping the state’s legal and political history.
