Doyle Rogers

Doyle Wayne Rogers was born on October 20, 1918, in Diaz, Jackson County, Arkansas, and grew up in Newport, Arkansas.

Rogers attended Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, and Arkansas Tech University, Russellville. He trained with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

In 1953 he founded the Doyle Rogers Company. His real estate developments include the College Heights subdivision in Batesville, the Excelsior Hotel, the Arkansas Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, Beaver Village Resort in Colorado, and projects with Wal-Mart. He served as chairman of the board of Metropolitan National Bank.

Rogers was a 2006 inductee in the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame.

He passed away on February 4, 2013.
